MRC client agent displays "Evaluation" when Centralized license is applied

Overview

Fourteen days after activating your Centralized license the MRC client agent displays "Evaluation" even though you have activated your Centralized license. The popup notification cannot be closed, but the functionality is not impacted.

Environment

  • DameWare Remote Support version 11.0
  • DameWare Mini Remote Control version 11.0

Cause

This is a known issue with Centralized licensing on version 11.0, and only occurs when licensing DameWare in Centralized mode.

The agent does not check for a Centralized license. Though the functionality of the agent is not impacted, after the default, 14-day evaluation license expires, the agent finds no active license, displays "Evaluation", and the popup notification cannot be dismissed during a session.

Resolution

  • Install Hotfix 1 for version 11.
  • Upgrade to version 12
