Unable to search tickets using the Basic or Advanced search


Unable to search any tickets using the Basic or Advanced search.

The tech permission assigned to the tech includes limitations to access and search tickets. 


  1. Log in to Web Help Desk as an administrator.
  2. Click Setup > Techs > Techs > [Tech Account].
  3. In the Tech Permissions field, verify the tech permission assigned to the tech.
  4. In the Permission Name column, click a permission.
    The default permission is Default.   
  5. Disable the following permissions from the Tech Permission, and click Save: 
    • Limit to Assigned Tech Groups
    • Limit by Company
    • Limit by Location Group 
    • Limit by Department Group 
  6. Notify the tech to log in and verify that he can now search tickets.
