The RPC server in AD Logga is unavailable

This article details a resolution for an issue in which you are unable to connect to the AD Logga module and you receive the following error message in the log file:


​​​​​​​EventListener.Start(): problems connecting to DC <FQDN des DC>lThe RPC server is unavailable


  • Access Rights Manager


A firewall is blocking RPC calls to the eventlog of the target DC,


  • Configure a firewall rule accepting the incoming request from RPC.
  • Enable the preconfigured rule Remove Event Log Management (RPC) in the Windows Firewall settings to allow calls from RPC.
