Template configuration error: The given key was not present in the dictionary

Overview

This article details an issue in which users in the process of customizing a supplied template to their environment encounter a number of issues or error messages.

Environment

  • Access Rights Manager

Cause

  • Errors can occur if you define a drop-down option and the default value is not available in the selection.

Resolution

  • Error message: The given key was not present in the dictionary

    • You have stored several organizational units in your template, but you have not adjusted the default value.
    • The defined default value OU does not exist in previously configured OUs.
    • Assign the default value to a previously configured OU.
