Manually replace path names in ARM

Updated November 7, 2018

Overview

This article details how to manually adjust the path names of resources in views and reports in ARM. The entry path, the resource to be replaced, and the corresponding replacements value must be set.

Environment

  • Access Rights Manager

Resolution

The switch configuration for this setting is in the pnJob.config.xml file in the folder %ProgramData%\protected-networks.com\8MAN\cfg.

  • If the pnJob.config.xml file does not exist, it must be collected.
  • Edit pnJob.config.xml syntax as follows:
    <? xml version = "1.0" encoding = "utf-8" standalone = "yes"?>

    <config>
    <reports.fileserver.replacements>
    <pair>
    <origin> \\ Fileserver1 \ group1 </ origin>
    <replacement> G: </ replacement>
    </ pair>
    <pair2>
    <origin> \\ fileserver2 \ group2 </ origin>
    <replacement> H: </ replacement>
    </ pair2>
    [.....]
    </reports.fileserver.replacements>
    </ Config>
