Overview

When you try to run any scp jobs, you may see following error in C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\SftpServer.log file on the polling engine.  
2024-05-28 11:19:55,050 [5] ERROR SolarWinds.Sftp.Service.Listener - Cannot bind to address :: for the following reason:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800A7536): Failed to import key from file.
at wodSSHDComLIB.SSHKeyPairClass.Load(String Filename, Object Password)
at SolarWinds.Sftp.Service.Listener.ReloadPrivateKey(wodSSHDComClass server, SSHKeyTypes keyType)
at SolarWinds.Sftp.Service.Listener.Reconfigure(SftpServerSettings settings

Cause

Possibly corrupted key files

Resolution

1. Make sure that scp service is stopped.
2. In C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds find these two files:
sftp.dsa and sftp.rsa
3. Please make a copy of them and remove the original files from this folder.
4. Start SCPServer service
