Overview

When opening the License Manager > License Usage page (or clicking Explore History), the page fails to load historical license utilization data and returns an "An error has occurred" fault. The mini charts show "No chart data," and the historical/PerfStack links do not render.

This is a known issue in SolarWinds Platform 2026.1 that occurs when the License Usage historical aggregation query overflows the SQL int data type. It is most likely to occur in larger environments (roughly 2,000+ nodes).

Product section

Orion Platform

Cause

The License Usage view runs a SWIS aggregation query against Orion.Licensing.UtilizationSummary covering the last 29 days. In environments with a high node/element count, the summed Used/Weight values exceed the maximum value of the SQL int data type (2,147,483,647), causing the arithmetic overflow.

Resolution

This issue is addressed in SolarWinds Platform 2026.2. Consider upgrading your environment.
