Error on DNS records page when zone has record with WINS type

When a User attempts to select a DNS Recored in IPAM , if the DNS record contains WINS then an Error is generated

Overview

On the IPAM console, go to the DHCP & DNS Management View > DNS Zones
When you attempt to open a DNS record, you will see the following Error.

Cause

The issue is caused when WINS is enabled on the DNS Zone
Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) is the Microsoft implementation of NetBIOS Name Service (NBNS), a name server and service for NetBIOS computer names.

To Verify, log onto the DNS Server, go to the DNS Zone that generated the Error,
Right Click on the Zone and view the WINS Tab

Resolution

This issue is addressed in IPAM 2026.1 Consider upgrading your environment.
