ERROR ConfigurationProgressScene - Exception while configuring plugin Orion Core Services component Message Bus. System.Security.Cryptography.CryptographicException: Invalid provider type specified.

Cause

Insufficient permission to ...\Crypto\RSA\ registry keys

Resolution

  1. On the Orion Server - Log in with a Local Administrator Account (Non-Domain). 
  2. Navigate to: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\Rsa\
  3. Give the MachineKeys folder the permissions below (Right Click > Properties > Security Tab > Advanced), and then run configuration wizard again.
Note: These permissions are mandatory and must be in place. All of them must be set as documented below. 
Administrators	 (Full Control)
  
Everyone	         (Special)	

To view the special permissions for the Everyone group,
		  right-click the MachineKeys folder, click
		  Advanced on the Security tab, and then click
		  View/Edit. The permissions consist of the following
		  permissions: List Folder/Read Data

Read Extended Attributes
Create Files/Write Data
Create Folders/Append Data
Write Attributes
Write Extended Attributes
Read Permissions
