Question:

Why do some monitors report the error "A security package specific error occured; oserror: 0x80070721"

Resolution:

This is a WMI error that can be resolved by following this procedure:

1. Log on to the ipMonitor web console.

2. Click the Configuration tab, and then click System Settings.

3. Click Global Behavior Modifiers.

4. Click Add.

5. In the Behavior Modifier Name box, enter Monitoring.wmi.extern.retry.duration

6. In the Behavior Modifer Value box, enter 400

7. Click OK.

8. Restart the ipMonitorSrv service.
