Question:

In the Switch Port Mapper, why do I see only a portion of the ports on my Cisco Catalyst switch?

Resolution:

If you do not specify a VLAN in the community string, many Catalyst switches only show the BRIDGE-MIB for VLAN1. To see the BRIDGE-MIB for other VLANs, you must specify them in the community string.

Examples

If the read-only community string is public, use public@25 to read the BRIDGE-MIB for VLAN 25.

If the the read-write community string is private, use private@33 to read and write the BRIDGE-MIB for VLAN 33.
